Does turning off the cellular connectivity in a cellular watch make its battery life the same comparing it to a non cellular watch under the same usage conditions?
I would think that would be possible. However, unless you are not near the iPhone the Watch is paired to, then it is not using the cellular connection. It will only connect to cellular if you activated cellular and you are not around the paired phone. If near the paired phone, it is connected to the phone and not using cellular.
Thanks for the response and information provided.
I would do this to have control of when the cellular connection is used when the paired phone is not nearby. This should save some battery life.
I should think that it would. While I do not frequently use my Series 6 Watch without my paired phone, with it, I get usage from 7:00am to 11:00pm daily and the battery is at about 63% when I put it on the charger for the overnight. Hope that helps.
Thanks for sharing that information.
