Black Screen When Trying To Play Downloaded Movies

I have downloaded movies purchased from iTunes that I am trying to play. I hear all the audio content of the movie, but there is a black screen. I have the most current edition of iTunes. How do I fix this? It happens on all of my movies and they were all purchased through iTunes.

This is definitely unexpected behavior but we want to help figure out what might be going on!



To start, we would recommend quitting iTunes and restarting your computer before re-launching iTunes and testing the movie again. This sounds simple but if those movies used to play as expected and this only started recently, then this very well may help resolve the issue.



If you try that and you're not having any luck still then we're going to recommend that you remove and reinstall iTunes and all of the associated components. For this process, it's important that you follow the steps in order to effectively troubleshoot this issue. You can find the exact steps below:
