My new ipad doesn't show up on my dekstop (iMac Hi Sierra 10.13.1).
Upgrading beyond Hi Sierra isn't an option at this time.
Thanks for any suggestions.
We got it to show a few weeks ago but don't remember how...
Hello LotusPhotographer,
We're glad you thought to ask Apple Support Communities about your new iPad not being recognized by your iMac. First, back up your Mac then update the software as the current version of macOS High Sierra is 10.13.6. Here are some guides to help:
Back up your Mac
Update macOS on Mac
If your iPad still doesn't appear after updating, try these steps: If your computer doesn't recognize your iPhone, iPad, or iPod
Let us know how it goes.
Take care.
