Questioner General

So my IPhone XR has always connected via USB to my car for the past two years. No issues.

I updated to IOS 15 last week and since then my phone won’t connect. When plugged in it will charge my phone but won’t allow me to play music through my speaker system etc. my car displays a message something like no supported device found or similar.

its a 2014 Vauxhall Meriva. There is no software to update in the car and nothing else has changed except the IOS update.

can I revert my iPhone back to the previous IOS since this seems to be causing the issue?

Hi ChristineNevitt,

We'd like to help provide the best guidance available. There is not a way to revert the iOS once updated. We recommend starting with the guided steps for If you need help with CarPlay. In addition to this recommendation, we suggest contacting the manufacture to see if any planned updates are to come if they have any updates regarding the release of iOS 15. If you have exhausted these options, you'll want to reach out to Apple Support. You can use the link below, if needed.
