Questioner General

Hi,

I'm trying to make a MIDI file for use with the Casio LK-270 keyboard, in order to use the "Play Along" feature. This requires that there are 2 Midi tracks (Right Hand and Left Hand) that have MIDI Channel 3 (Right) and MIDI Channel 4 (Left). I've found a number of MIDI files I'd like to setup like this, the files have 2 MIDI tracks but are set to MIDI Channels 1 and 2, in Logic X I set these to channels 3 and 4, save the project and then export all tracks to MIDI file. I then close the project and open just the MIDI file exported in the previous step, the MIDI Channels are back to 1 and 2 again! How can I export to a file using different MIDI Channels?

There is a YouTube video of this at:

But it doesn't use Logic X, I basically want to do the same thing as this but using logic.
