Questioner General

Has anybody been refused to have display changed in this program because the camera was not working? I tried to have my display changed and the Authorised Service refused me because the camera was not working. But as I know the camera is not working also because of this dam' flexcable.

Speak with the manager and politely ask about the issue. The camera should have no bearing on qualifying for the free backlight repair program. Accidental damage, however, may affect eligibility. If speaking with a manager doesn't help, then I would have another Apple Store or Apple Authorized Service Provider examine the laptop. Just make sure the laptop would qualify for the free repair program if the camera was working. Perhaps the AASP is not properly communicating the reason why the repair is not being covered.

You can always contact Apple directly to discuss the issue.
