I had sent money through Apple Pay to someone, without knowing it was a scam. So my question is can I get a refund because of that?
Per Apple: Apple Pay person to person payments are just like any other private transaction between two people. If you're unable to cancel or receive your money back from the recipient, you can contact us to open a dispute.
I had already opened a case about it today and went through the process of it. I gave the support team the story of what had happened and I was told that the person received the payment, since the person told me that the payment was declined/pending. However, at that time it didn’t register to me that it was scam. So my question is that will I get a refund back since it was a scam due to the fact that I didn’t receive what I was supposed to receive?
We are all other users here and do not work:for Apple or the bank, so we do not know how this would be handled. You will need to check with Apple. Remember though that the transaction was not Apple’s fault; the responsible party is the scammer.
